Sights and sounds

So Eliasib and I went out today, and this is one of the things we saw while on the road. The wording all around the car is all religious! Like, "Fill Up With God's Love," (on the gas tank) and Bible scripture. What a way to get someone's attention!

Here's a close up on some of the doo-dads on the car - birds, tweety, Noah's ark, Donald Duck...

The hubby loves animals, so we have season tickets to Sea World. We like going into the shark exhibit, though it was especially packed with people today. And, for some reason, there were a lot of English people there! I love the English accent, so I was forever following them around just to hear it. English kids are too cute!

Look! Flying fish! Just kidding, the aquarium is large with the viewing area under a big tube through the tank.

After we came out, we were handed tickets to play a free round of a carnival game. The curvy wire thing was turning in circles, and the point was to move your circle all the way to the bottom without touching the wire thing. It's much harder than it looks, and although he was concentrating tons, he still got buzzed. So did I...grrr...

Anyways, it being Sea World, Anheiser Busch Sea World, that is... we got to see some horseys...

A donkey...(both from the commercials)

And some human blue people moving around all artistic-ly...

Fascinating...don't you think?

Until next time!!!

Ft. Lauderdale

Last weekend, we were invited by my good friend Casey to stay with her in Ft. Lauderdale. We stayed in this beautiful suite overlooking the beach and pool. Unfortunately, my camera lost battery after three pictures with not one of them being with Casey.
Here's a picture of Eliasib relaxing on the beach with the hotel in the background.

Pretty much our weekend consisted of sleeping in, going to the beach and pool and going out to eat. Yup...just what I needed!

Casey, it was sooo nice seeing you!!!!!

In the mean time...

Sorry my last post was such a debbie-downer. I assure you, I am doing better. =) Work will definitely be work for a while, so I am learning and adjusting and all that good stuff.

In the mean time, let's see...what's been going on with me?
We had beach vespers a couple weeks ago! The weather was really nice, and it was good to see and fellowship with friends in a beautiful atmosphere.
One of the husband's favorite shows is Monk. The whole last season kept plugging the Monk bobblehead which he "had to have." Yes, exactly like a four-year-old boy "had to have" that latest and greatest action figure toy.
Anyways, as I like to tell my husband, "what my baby wants, my baby gets!" So I surprised him and got him his bobblehead. Oh yes, I like to buy people's affection.
Saturday night, our church youth group put on its version of "The Amazing Race." Our team consisted of our roommates Kristen M. and Kristen G. (we're working out the confusion) and my husband and I. Here's their picture along with with one of our rivals in the background - Team Orange.
They had us, amoung other things, racing around town through the mall and an outdoor festival, chugging salsa, jumping in a pool and shoveling dirt...out in the boonies.

It was great fun, though we were quite tired at the end of it all.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to our weekend away visiting my good friend, Casey in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend. I'll be sure to post pictures!!!
