Life and TV

Okay, I’ve been writing this over a couple days…

It’s been a long time, People! Sorry about that. Life hasn’t seemed to settle down yet, but you know, its not often that it does…so hopefully I’ll be able to prioritize and blog more.

So I did allot some time last week to watch one of my favorite shows: Bones.

Hmmm…while we’re at it, maybe I’ll list my shows to watch/DVR by day:

Sunday: Grease: You’re the One that I want / The Apprentice: L.A.

Monday: How I Met Your Mother / The Class / Two and a Half Men / CSI: Miami / Studio 60

Tuesday: Gilmore Girls / American Idol

Wednesday: Bones / American Idol / Beauty and the Geek / CSI: NY

Thursday: Ugly Betty / The Office / ‘Til Death / CSI: Las Vagas (last ½)

Friday: Numb3rs

Saturday: Saturday Night Live

Various DVR’ed shows throughout the week: Hannah Montana, Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee, Jeff Corwin Experience, Dog Whisperer…

Anyways, back to Bones. I never really got into the Crime-Fighting-through-Forensics shows such as CSI (All three), Crossing Jordan, Bones, etc. However, based off of the above DVR schedule, one can’t help but notice the number of those types of shows that I now like to watch! It’s quite fascinating, though sometimes not the greatest thing to catch up on while eating dinner.

I like how today’s technology can really help in catching the bad guy, though, it truly makes one wonder why EVERYONE isn’t caught and jailed for their crimes.

Wow…never REALLY got back to Bones, huh? =) Anyways, last week on Bones, a new character was sort of introduced. He was “filling in” for the FBI agent (David Boreanaz, you know, the good vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer who got his own spin-off show, “Angel?”) and ended up being the new love interest of Bones. Anyways, at first, she didn’t get him because he wasn’t your typical FBI agent (not that I know …any!) but instead had the mindset of “this is what I do until I find what I’m REALLY going to do.”

Who becomes an FBI agent to pay the bills? Isn’t that sort of “career-ish?”

Yet…sort of cool, don’t you think? He was of the mindset that he didn’t want to be defined by being an FBI agent (though I still think that’s still a pretty cool ‘definition’) and was constantly trying to broaden himself.
